Today's blog is really special as the place which I'm talking about is really close to my heart. Visiting here and experiencing Laser show at night is in my bucket list.
Yes, I'm talking about ADIYOGI which is world's largest shiva bust sculpture located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is depicting my beloved LORD SHIVA'S deity. It is recorded by gunnies world record, Designed by Sadhguru, founder & head of Isha foundation.
The statue stands 112ft tall and weighs 500 tons. The height of the statue denotes 112 ways to attain freedom or moksha which is basically a theme in yogic culture. It is believed that 112 chakras, are regarded as the focal points of the body which are used in meditation.
The statue was built to take forward the idea of promoting Yoga, the name also suggests the same. It is called Adiyogi which means the first yogi and Lord shiva is also known as to be the originator of Yoga.
The towering statue is a set in the backdrop of verdant lush greenery & Velliangiri hills, which further makes an intriguing stop to visit.
HOW TO REACH:
you will find this spot at 30km away from Coimbatore city, so you board a bus or hire a private taxi to reach this place.
